Paul commenced his legal practice at Rennick & Gaynor in 1988. Paul later worked for Russell Kennedy for two years, and in 1992 alongside Charles Tinney, started the law firm now known as Burns & Tinney in Greensborough. In 2000, Paul returned to Rennick & Gaynor where he was a partner for 12 years. In 2015 Paul returned to Burns & Tinney in Greensborough.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys a long bike ride, as well as watching his beloved Richmond Football Club. Paul brings a friendly and understanding approach to his legal practice and has built strong and longstanding connections with many of his clients because of this. Paul loves to utilize the wealth of knowledge that he has accrued over his many years in legal practice in order to assist clients with complex legal issues.
